We believe that every child deserves a chance.

TWe work with children who've been neglected, abused, and traumatized • We work with adults who lack basic coping and parenting skills • We work with juvenile offenders who are unparented, failing in school, looking for acceptance in all the wrong places • We work with teens who are struggling with mental illness and substance abuse • We work with children who are diagnosed with severe emotional and developmental disorders • We work with preschoolers who are at risk already for falling behind in life.

We work so that all in our care - children and families - have the hope and the skills they need to build healthy, self-sufficient, and productive lives.

Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

Play for P.I.N.K.

We turn play into serious support.

To speed advances in breast cancer detection, treatment and survivorship, Play for P.I.N.K. (Prevention, Immediate diagnosis, New technology, Knowledge) supports thousands of volunteers nationwide as they raise funds for research through sporting and lifestyle events. Their efforts raise $5 million annually - and 100% of that goes to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Triangle Beagle Rescue of NC

Every once in a while a beagle enters your life and changes everything.

Triangle Beagle Rescue of NC ("TriBeagles") has been committed to bringing together humans and hounds for over 20 years. Our goal here at TBR is simple: to find great, lifelong, loving homes for as many beagles in North Carolina as possible! We do not have a shelter facility and operate solely out of foster homes. You can check out our available beagles online and fill out an adoption application.

Oak City Cares

Oak City Cares is a public-private partnership that exists to support the self-determination of our neighbors experiencing homelessness through trusting relationships and connections to coordinated services that increase their ability to be safely and stably housed. No person should experience homelessness alone. Oak City Cares is a gathering space where we listen to, connect with, and serve persons at-risk or experiencing homelessness so they can quickly reestablish a home.

Every child is filled with tremendous promise, and we all have a shared responsibility to help children reach their untapped potential. In collaboration with partners and supporters like you, we raise awareness of strategies that nurture positive childhoods; advocate for policies that put children and families first; and provide training, technical assistance and support to professionals delivering programs and implementing strategies proven to strengthen families. Together, we're building a stronger foundation for North Carolina's future.

Reelin' for Research is a year-round fundraising effort benefiting the UNC Children's Hospital and childhood cancer research. It culminates each year with a one-day fishing tournament in Morehead City, NC. To date, over 3.6 million dollars has been raised to help LAND A CURE for childhood cancer!
